After many requests for a cowboy action shooting rig designed specifically for women, we decided to give it a shot. We wanted to create a rig that would fill the design needs of women shooters while keeping the competitive features Kirkpatrick Leather has become known for among single action shooters.

Once again, we called on Five-Time Modern World Champion Tequila to lend a hand. It seems that Tequila knows everyone, so we asked him to get some ideas from women shooters for a more comfortable belt. Each of the ladies came back with a request for a curved belt with tapered ends and the buckle in the back. Also mentioned was a design with sewn shot shell loops on the pistol belt eliminating the need for a separate shotshell belt.

Using the information gathered by Tequila, Mike went to work on designing the newest addition to the Kirkpatrick line...the new Tequila Ladies rig. The final product is what you see here, a rig designed with the help of female cowboy action shooters to add comfort and adjustability without sacrificing function.

Why A Curved Belt Adjustment?

The curved belt is designed to meet the specific needs of women shooters. Curved on the ends to sit flat on the hips the new TQ-L rig will be more comfortable during extended use. Adjustable straps make it versatile for most sizes. By simply changing the straps, one can shorten or lengthen the belt to the required size.

How do I determine what belt size to order?
Due to different body types and to the fact that everyone seems to wear their rig a bit differently, we ask that you submit two separate measurement when placing your order.

First, we will need to know your jean/pant size.

Second, we will need you to take an *actual measurement at the point which you will be wearing the rig. To determine the actual measurement, you should wrap a tape measure around yourself as if it were the rig. The tape measure should be taut enough that it does not fall off your sides, but not so tight that it digs into your clothing.

If this is your first rig and require additional help in determining the belt size, feel free to give us a call at 1-800-451-9394 and we will go over the information with you.
